I first met Heather as a student of Charm City yoga and then as a guest teacher for Yoga Teacher Training. I knew right away I had met a yoga teacher that resonated with me. Heather is an incredibly compassionate woman and her genuine love, presence, and passion for yoga are undeniable. She truly practices and embodies what she preaches on and off the mat. She is generous in passing on her knowledge and experience with humble grace to a new teacher like myself. She holds space for each student that is safe, non-judgmental and encourages each student to practice as the unique individual they are. With her sweet nature and light-hearted humor, she effortlessly has the ability to take you on a personal journey of your own practice, yet delivers insights into yoga philosophy that are thought-provoking and inviting, all the while changing your perspective without pressure, but just simply suggesting a different way of approaching a yoga asana and incorporating yoga philosophy and science off the mat and weaving it into your own life. Although I am a yoga teacher, I come to Heather’s class to reconnect to myself as a student. She delivers a beautiful flowing, peaceful, yet challenging practice with knowing care for each student and clear concise language. I love that I only have to listen to know where I will be placing what limb. I always leave practice feeling grounded, challenged, accomplished, and peaceful.
